Fremont Avenue Residence

The work on this three story, single family, historic residence in trendy Lincoln Park consisted of the following work:  The owners wanted the rear interior stairs which ran from the first floor to the third floors removed.  The removal of the stairs provided them with a first floor mud room, a new 2nd floor home office, and a secondary laundry room on the third floor.  The kitchen was completely gutted and re-designed.  The owner's "wish list" included new kitchen cabinets, new countertops with pop up electrical outlets, window seats, TV entertainment center, and state of the art appliances.  An electronic monitoring system was provided which makes it possible to control every electrical device by cell phone or computer from anywhere in the world.  All the bathrooms throughout the house were retiled, some new windows were added in the newly created spaces, and new modern light fixtures were installed as needed.  The whole house was given a fresh  coat of paint to complete the improvements.
